This is my personal testimony of what God has brought me through — and is calling me through — in being an imaginative seer.

The whirlwind
“Behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire… and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”
2 Kings 2 : 11
He was walking and talking with his friend when heaven came for him.
II
The throne room
“I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.”
Isaiah 6 : 1
The doorposts shook at the voice. The house filled with smoke.
III
Between Babylon and Jerusalem
“The Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem… And He said to me, ‘Son of man, do you see what they are doing?’”
Ezekiel 8 : 3, 6
He was sitting in his own house when it happened.
IV
The third heaven
“Whether in the body or out of the body I do not know — God knows — such a one was caught up to the third heaven… and heard things that cannot be told.”
2 Corinthians 12 : 2 – 4
Fourteen years passed before he could even write about it.

The island of Patmos
“I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, saying, ‘Write what you see in a book.’”
Revelation 1 : 10 – 11
An exile, alone on an island — and heaven opened.

The One they saw
“His face was like the sun shining in full strength. When I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying, ‘Fear not.’”
Revelation 1 : 16 – 17
Every vision in this house points to Him.
They were ordinary people — a priest in exile, a tentmaker, an old man on an island — until God opened their eyes. Like a prophet of the Bible, I know what it is to see.
What is a seer?
I believe a seer is someone who sees into the realm of the Spirit — and I believe we are here to remind the body of Christ that God is supernatural.
It is very easy for this world to forget that we serve an immortal God — a God who has always existed and has no creator. We need to remember that He is supernatural. We are not able to understand nor comprehend Him by just using our human brains. He is incomprehensible.
I also believe that God shows us experiences as seers in order to help others. He uses us to see in the Spirit and to help others with whatever they may need help with — whatever He says. I believe we are also used by God to show what happens in the realm of the Spirit, because He is in the spiritual realm. He is in the third heaven. God is good — but there are also different realms, and they are not always good.
As seers, we cannot choose what we see. We also do not have the ability to only see good. We see what the Holy Spirit shows us, and we do whatever He tells us to do with those visions. They are not for us. They are for His body. They are for His children.
The gift of being a seer is not to be used to glorify us. It is used to glorify God.
